I’ve also been where you are: I was a surrogate myself. That experience is exactly why this service exists.
“If you’re curious about surrogacy, you deserve the whole picture before you decide anything. That’s the job.”
Why I do this work — in my own words.
I came across a surrogacy ad on Facebook. I took the intake, I passed, I had the phone call, and I started working with an agency.
Agencies do important, complicated work: coordinating intended parents, clinics, and the legal process. But inside that structure, nobody’s whole job is looking out for the surrogate alone — that’s not a criticism, it’s just how the system is built. I was fortunate: I met someone whose sister had been a surrogate with the same agency, and she shared what to ask, what to expect, and what to look out for — about compensation, about medication, about advocating for myself. Without her, I wouldn’t have known which questions mattered. I still stumbled through parts of it. But I stumbled informed.
Since my own journey, I’ve helped a few women through this process — sitting down with contracts, talking through their questions, helping them advocate for themselves. Those conversations inspired me to create this consulting company.
I want you to feel that you can trust me: that I will fight for you, do the research for you, and be here throughout your journey, not just at the start. And to the agencies I work with: the women I send you arrive informed, honest, and ready — because someone took the time with them first.
Four steps, in order — and you stay in control at every one of them.
Read how surrogacy actually works — process, timeline, real requirements, how compensation is structured — before anyone asks you to commit to anything.
Complete one honest intake, and I’ll take it from there — I personally calculate your BMI from your height and weight, the same way agencies will, and I personally review every intake myself. I’ll check your history against real published criteria and tell you straight where you stand.
Start the intakeThen I work with agencies to find you the best options, and I work with you individually to make sure you’re connected to the agency that works best for you and your family. We’ll schedule a time to review each agency together — your options, what to ask for, and what to talk about — so you can choose with confidence.
You contract directly with the agency you chose. I’ll be in your corner through selection — and you can come to me with questions the whole way.
Gestational surrogacy is when a woman carries a pregnancy for intended parents using an embryo created through IVF. The embryo comes from the intended parents’ or donors’ egg and sperm — so as a gestational surrogate, you carry the baby but share no genetic connection to them.
The phases, in order:
From first questions to delivery, a typical journey takes roughly 12–24 months — this is a marathon with a lot of waiting built in, not a quick process. Screening includes medical, psychological, and background checks, and every agency and clinic runs its own.
Compensation and requirements vary by agency and by state, which is exactly why seeing your real options matters before you sign anything.
When you’re ready, start here.
I’m Julia — I’m not an agency. Some answers about surrogacy are hard to find until after you’ve already applied somewhere; this intake exists so you get honest answers first. Your answers pre-vet your profile so I can match you with the agency that’s the best fit for you. This is educational only — not medical or legal advice, and final eligibility is always the agency and its clinic’s decision, not mine. Your identifiable information is never shared without your written permission.
Every question on the intake is required, so nothing important gets skipped. The form opens in a new tab — this page stays right here while you work through it.

From your first question through the whole journey, you have a person. Ask me anything — you’ll always get a straight answer.
I present the agencies that fit and explain the differences honestly. You decide which one — or none at all.

For agencies
Most agency pipelines start with cold inquiries and a 10–25% qualification rate. Mine starts after the education and the vetting. Every Valley candidate has completed a full intake (pregnancy/delivery history, calculated BMI, lifestyle, medications, support system, state), understands the process and timeline, and has been matched to your stated criteria before you see her sample.
Samples are anonymized; identity and records move only with her written consent. If a placed candidate fails screening or withdraws before medical clearance, I’ll work with you to find another qualified candidate.
The request form opens in a new tab.
The things women ask first — answered the same way I’d answer in person.
Start with the whole picture — what a gestational carrier does, the surrogate requirements agencies and clinics actually use, how surrogate compensation is structured, and what the surrogacy journey looks like from first questions to delivery.
A gestational surrogate carries a baby created through IVF for intended parents — the embryo comes from the intended parents’ or donors’ egg and sperm, so you share no genetic connection to the child. Most agencies look for women roughly 21–41 who have carried at least one healthy pregnancy of their own, are in good overall health, and have a strong support system at home. Every agency and clinic runs its own medical, psychological, and background screening, and final eligibility is always theirs to decide.
At Valley Surrogacy Consulting, the first step is education, not an application: you learn how matching, legal contracts, clinic medication, and embryo transfer work, then complete one honest pre-vetting intake. From there I match you with the agency that fits you best, and you choose — with an advocate in your corner the whole way, at no cost to you.
Where I work with women: I serve women in surrogacy-friendly states across the U.S. I don’t currently serve Louisiana, Nebraska, Arizona, or Indiana, where compensated surrogacy contracts are void, unenforceable, or not permitted, and New York is paused while its licensed-program rules are reviewed. Not sure about your state? Book a call and I’ll tell you straight.
Whether you’re a woman with questions or an agency wanting to talk candidates, book a time that works for you. Calls are 30 minutes, and all times are Pacific Time.
